This site update for September & October comes to you from my workstation overlooking a beautiful sea of Pennsylvania Fall foliage as far as the eye can see. I’ve been here, hard at work each day, building the foundation for joebalcom.blog and the Unparalleled brand.
I’ve hit some pretty nice milestones recently since I started this website way back in May:
- JoeBalcom.blog recently received it’s 50,000th site visitor.
- The Unparalleled movement has grown to over 1,000 followers.
- And October was my first full month of online sales, with my new book and my digital courses.
Not bad for less than six months of creating online! And it would never have been possible without your support. All of the work I do is meant to return the favor and show you exactly how to break away from unfulfilling work. I hope you’re enjoying the ride so far!
This is also my first site update from the other side of 30. It’s been a great opportunity for me to sit and reflect on where I’ve been and what I’ve done through the first 30 years of my life, but also a chance to look forward to the next 30 and marvel at the unprecedented opportunity we all have in front of us.
Each month, I look back at what’s happened with JoeBalcom.blog during the previous month. If you’ve missed anything, you can catch up here.
I’ve reorganized the categories of this site into six primary areas of focus, which I strongly believe are the undeniable ingredients for an unparalleled life:
In September and October, I haven’t posted as much as I’d like, as Unparalleled Live has taken center stage. But things are about to change in a massive way. For now, here’s what I wrote since my last site update:
I wrote about what I call Cooks’ Principle in Print Your Own Golden Ticket to Success
I wrote about the future of work and the urgency we all need to have as we move faster towards that reality in The Digital Gold Rush is Near
I wrote about what I would do differently or focus on more if I could go back ten years in 30 Directives from 30 Years: A Letter to my 20-Year-Old Self
In September, I beta-tested Unparalleled Live and launched it in October for the first time. I also released an asynchronous companion course Black Magic for Writing, which is more focused on the online writing process.
Marketing a new course, especially as a first-time course-creator, is challenging, but just like launching a blog, it will take a few months to gain steam. I’m really happy with the early interest from dozens of people, the progress we’ve made, and the foundation that has been built thus far. I can’t wait to bring these courses to the masses in 2021 and beyond.
Also in October, I’ve revamped my book, Starting with Zero. It now includes some of my more recent lessons from my life as a solopreneur, cleaned up the formatting a bit, and put it on sale for the first time. This is a collection of personal notes I’ve made over the years that have formed the backbone of my drive and determination to create my own future through entrepreneurship. It’s the playbook for starting any big project from scratch.
If you’re looking to take that next step in your life that you’ve been putting off, you can get started by buying Starting with Zero here.
